Revision Policy. The process of designing books is complex and highly technical. Post-layout edits can be time consuming and inefficient—in extreme cases, late revisions can be more time consuming than the original layout process. It is in the best interest of both the self-publisher and designer that manuscripts be error-free going into layout. Our revision policy is that all manuscripts must be copyedited and in final form when submitted for layout. If the designer finds errors during the beginning of layout, the manuscript will be returned to the self-publisher with recommendations for further work. All changes to text in the post-layout (excluding designer error) will be billed at an hourly rate. If you have any questions about this policy, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
